Personal Style Photo Documentary
I'm shooting a photo-doc of individuals and their personal style. I'll be setting up short studio sessions with each individual dressed in outfits they've chosen for themselves based on specific scenarios. It will ultimately contribute to a larger project. If interested in participating or want more info send me a message or email at showroomtoronto@hotmail.com

Remembering Alexander Mcqueen..
Alexander Mcqueen leaves the legacy of being the immensly talented rebel of the high fashion industry. He tragically died on Feb 10, 2010, taking his own life just a few days after losing his mother. He was famously discovered by the late, eccentric fashion stylist, Isabella Blow.
Blow purchased Mcqueens entire first collection that he created while attending Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London, England. Before attending design school Mcqueen took part in various fashion related internships and job positions where he developed his technical skills relating to the construction of clothing. He also worked with a theatrical costume company - which is quite evident when seeing an Alexander Mcqueen runway show.
By 2006, Alexander Mcqueens self titled label (which is owned by Gucci) had independant boutiques all over the world and was a staple in celebrity wardrobes. He will be cherished for decades and remembered as one of the great icons in fashion.

What Is "The Showroom"?
"The Showroom" is a loft space located in downtown Toronto featuring a variety of apparel available for purchase. This is a great alternative to traditional retail because of the variety of sources inventory comes from. We have vintage apparel, independant designer peices, custom orders etc. "The Showroom" is about more than just clothing sales - it's about making you look good and feel good; it's about breaking you out of your typical "style box"; it's about interacting with and understanding our contributing designers visions; it's about creating enjoyable experiences around the simple act of buying clothes.

Crushed Jewelry - (As told by designer)
"What is Crushed about?
Crushed is about having so many ideas and pictures inside of you that you feel like you're going to explode if you don't let it all out!
My pieces are aimed at women who are creative and fashion forward but maybe feel a little shy or awkward. When you wear big accessories they do the talking for you.
Wearing my own pieces has given me so much confidence, I feel as though I'm expressing myself and looking good at the same time. I want to pass that on to other women too.
It's 'avant-garde for the supermarket', meaning it's big and bold but you can wear it anywhere."
